Bachelor’s Degree – Child and Family Studies, Baylor University
Biography:
Sarah comes from a long line of Baylor Bears and has called Waco “home” for over 10 years! She considered a few different career options throughout her years as an undergraduate student, but early childhood education was what spoke to her heart and became her calling.
Sarah is passionate about child-led, inquiry-based education and loves to explore questions both big and small alongside children. One of her favorite areas of study is environmental psychology, which explores how the environment impacts individuals. Sarah’s capstone project in grad school centered around the impact of natural vs. fluorescent light on mood and executive function in young children.
In her free time, Sarah loves to be outdoors, sing and play instruments, spend time with friends and family, create and craft, and snuggle her cat, Clementine.
