A Message from Our Director
The Piper Center for Family Studies and Child Development at Baylor University is a home-grown exemplary model of early childhood care and education. From the Baylor freshmen observing for the first time to the Baylor seniors achieving their individual practicum goals here, from the new mom coming to nurse her eight-week-old infant during the day to the parents stumped about how to help their three-year-old make friends, from the first steps to the pre-kindergarten presentation, from a new teacher’s first lesson plan to a seasoned teacher’s retirement, The Piper Center cherishes these moments.
At The Piper Center, our goal is to come alongside families, faculty, and students to support and guide. Piper’s values are evident in our environments, in our people, and in our actions. We continue to learn and grow within our field, knowing that quality early care and education is critical to the growth of the child, the family, and our communities.
We look forward to using our online presence to illustrate what makes us special. If you have more questions or would like to discuss how you can be a part of our Piper family, please feel free to reach out to me. You can also find us on Instagram when we aren't engaged in our work on site.
As the director of The Piper Center, I am proud to lead a team of educators and be just one part of the amazing Piper family.
