Biography:

Emma is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she received her undergraduate degree in Theology and Biblical Studies with an special focus on Youth Ministry. Upon the completion of her undergraduate degree, Emma chose to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling where she fell in love with Play Therapy. Emma moved to Waco in August of 2024 with her husband who is pursuing a Master’s of Divinity at Baylor’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. 

Emma believes strongly in the power of play which is part of what led her to the Piper Center. She enjoys fostering curiosity and aiding children in the exploration of the world around them through play. Her goal is to empower and scaffold children as they learn, grow, and gain problem solving skills. 

In her free time, Emma loves to spend time with her husband and their two pugs, Walter and Nigel. Emma has rediscovered a love for reading and enjoys being creative through variety of means. She also loves to be outside and loves watching movies.
